The Customer
Thigpen CDJR is part of Paul Thigpen Auto Group, a multi-location dealer group in Georgia. Every Fixed Ops opportunity being on the calendar matters, and it’s a standard their team and vendors hold to.
The Situation
Recall lists are among the most qualified outbound opportunities a dealer has. The intent to secure the customers is there, but the bottleneck is always executing before customers use the web to find a local competing dealership. Working a list properly means consistent outreach, personalized follow-ups, retries, and tracking. That's hard to maintain alongside daily service ops.
The Solution
Thigpen handed ShortLoop the recall list. ShortLoop's Outbound AI ran a customized campaign sequence for these customers, end-to-end.
Every contact received a call tailored to their vehicle's recall notification. The AI addressed 62 recall types, every customer heard what their recall was and why it was worth coming in for.
AI automatically passed through call screenings, did multiple tries for some leads, and left personalized voicemails and texts for people who didn’t pick up. Appointments would just get booked in-call and start appearing on the scheduler.
Conclusion
Over the campaign, AI connected with 41% of all customers. Of those who engaged, 32% booked directly on the call, with additional customers walking in after the AI call without a prior booking.
Overall, 7.9% of the full contact list converted to appointments, and a warm follow-up pipeline was built automatically for customers who weren't ready to commit.
Results
Recall opportunities are extremely actionable with the right tools at the right dealerships. ShortLoop Phone AI ensures your dealership doesn’t lose out on any of these opportunities to local competitors.
